My Approach

Healthcare is a complex, highly regulated environment where the need of audiences is great. People communicating about it should have the benefit of support that is going to maximize success. That means taking an approach that is supported by a solid understanding of the landscape and the strategic imperatives you need to embrace to help you deliver communications that is going to help you achieve your goals.

Good strategy is all about good planning. 

​

And so my bottom line is this. I believe in an evidence-based approach to communications. That means that research and analysis is a fundamental component of planning. 

​

Sometimes we are so anxious to tell our message, we don't think about how to tell it in a way that people need to hear it. 

 

​I begin there. What do people need to hear - in an interview, in a presentation, in a written piece, in a press release? And how do we fashion our message to fit that need? For me, that is the square root of success in communications.
